Beginner

Perfect for first-time learners

This level introduces your child to the basics of Hindi - from recognizing and pronouncing alphabets to forming simple words and sentences. No prior experience needed.

What they'll learn:

  • Varnmala (alphabets) & pronounciation
  • Swar (vowels) & Vyanjan (consonants)
  • Maatras & Duskhadi (amalgamation of letters and Swar)
  • Word formation & vocabulary building
  • Vakya Pathan (simple sentence reading)
  • Khadipai (understanding punctuation)

Intermediate

Builds on the foundation laid in Beginner level

Students begin exploring grammar, number skills, & more advanced vocabulary.

What they'll learn:

  • Sanyukt Akshar (mixed letters)
  • Counting
  • Intro to Vyakran (grammar)
  • Sangya (nouns), Ling (gender), Vilom (antonyms)
  • Tukant (rhyming words), Ek-anek (singular-plural)
  • Vakya Nirman (basic sentence building & reading)
  • Shabdarth (vocabulary & word-meanings)

Advanced

For learners ready to dive deeper

This level introduces advanced grammar & storytelling elements, helping students read & understand simple Hindi stories independently.

What they'll learn:

  • Visheshan (adjectives) & Kriya (verbs)
  • Paryayvachi (synonyms) & Prashna Chihn (questions)
  • Puchtach Shabd (question words)
  • Kahani Pathan (story reading)
  • Shabdarth (word meanings)

Prerequisite: Completion of Intermediate Level

Proficient

Advanced comprehension and writing

For learners who have completed all previous levels. Focuses on reading passages, writing essays, & answering comprehension questions.

What they'll learn:

  • Gadhyansh Pathan & Lekhan (passage reading & writing)
  • Pathan Bodh (comprehension) & Prashna-Uttar (Q&A)
  • Nibandh Lekhan (essay writing)

Prerequisite: Completion of Advanced Level

Learning Hindi is Fun!

In every level, kids engage in interactive activities and group games to reinforce their skills in a lively and interactive way.

This Includes:

  • Shabd Ladi (word chain)
  • Naam Batao (name what you see)
  • Dhund Ke Laao (scavenger hunt)
  • Bolchal (conversing in Hindi)
  • Naatak (storytelling through drama)

Practice + Parent Involvement

Students will receive digital or physical worksheets after every class to strengthen their skills at home.

Poonam Bihani - Certified Early Childhood Education & Hindi Language Instructor

Poonam Bihani

With over 16 years of experience in early childhood education and teaching language, Poonam brings a nurturing, engaging, and structured approach to teaching Hindi to young learners.

Poonam began teaching Hindi in 2009 - starting with her own daughter as her first student. What began as a personal initiative soon grew into small, community-based classes. Here she discovered creative ways to teach Hindi through games, storytelling, and grammar-focused lessons.

She holds a university-level qualification in Hindi and is a Certified Early Childhood Educator, having worked at top early education centers such as Safari Kid, Stratford, and Montessori programs. She has over 11 years of experience working with preschool and Pre-K children, and has 5+ years experience conducting Hindi classes for children ages 5 and up, including complete beginners. With years of hands-on experience, she deeply understands how young children learn best - through repetition, play, and positive reinforcement.

Her teaching philosophy is simple: make language learning approachable, enjoyable, and meaningful. Whether it's building vocabulary through conversation or reinforcing grammar through fun activities, her classroom is designed to help every child thrive - at their own pace.
